Pauline Di Valentin

Pauline Di Valentin

Pauline Di Valentin, born in 1990 in Amiens, is a French artist specializing in ink drawing on paper. Her works depict isolated architectures, often villas in pastel shades, immersed in lush vegetation. The use of diluted and faded ink allows her to create marbled effects, transparencies and gradients, mainly in a palette of pinks and greens.

Pauline studied graphic design at the Lycée Auguste Renoir in Paris, then at the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design in Reims, where she obtained a National Diploma of Plastic Arts in graphic design.

His work is largely inspired by cinema and photography, his drawings resembling freeze frames that immerse the viewer in an unreal temporality. The architectures represented evoke Italian, Californian or Japanese influences, while the dense vegetation gives an intimate and heavenly atmosphere to his compositions.

In 2022, as part of the lille3000 – Utopia event, Pauline presented the exhibition "Rêves d'encre" at the Espace Pignon in Lille, highlighting a series of drawings exploring imaginary places where architecture and nature meet harmoniously.
